A slew of new players are now able to enter previously untapped markets thanks to blockchain. Will they revolutionise or merely generate phoney excitement?
Despite the existence of blockchain-based virtual worlds and games such as ‘Decentraland,’ which handles much of the metaverse’s NFT trading on its own, many other developers, such as ‘World of Warcraft,’ may choose to keep their own storefronts and funnel all real-world cash transactions through them.
They may try to shut down unofficial auctioneers in the future, similar to what Valve did in 2018 with a site that traded avatar skins for its ‘Counter-Strike’ game. If they see it as a way to make some extra money by taking a cut of NFT sales or allowing avatars to travel between games or worlds, some people may warm to the idea. I’m just hoping that by the end of the year, eth will be around $8000!! Please bear with me, whatever the case may be. NFTs appear to be an invincible force. NFTs, the newest addition to the blockchain, have grown in value from $100 million in 2020 to $23 billion in 2021.
A variety of models are being investigated. PlotX’s Ish Goel predicts that skill-based P2E games will be extremely popular. With a P2E token, he’s gamifying prediction markets, and his initial rollout has sparked a lot of interest. Elite, a telecommunications behemoth, has entered the fray, ostensibly to boost its TAM. Runiverse, a skill-based game, and the NFT marketplace have already launched.
Once that content (mostly written) is created, they can form a m to create the other forms for selected articles until they determine that they need ALL (or as many as possible) of the forms of media to expand their audience/customer base. We’ll have to wait and see if they’re successful in this endeavour.
As a result, it appears that content creation has a bright future in the next five years. In this field, there is a lot of growth and competition. Because of the growing demand for new and unique content, the demand for talented and skilled content creators is at an all-time high, and it will continue to rise in the coming years.
